Health Update

How does everybody feel about this? I think PvP sounds awesome. We could have frikken wars between castles. However, it also means being more careful when building and such. What will this mean for the server?

This means start saving up your materials for some awesome armor and get ready to battle other players! This should be an awesome update and can't wait!

I don't think we'll enable it right away, or if its going to be something entirely different than i don't know. We might set up like designated pvp location or something lol.. Maybe he will come out with a way to like section off somewhere where you can pvp and then when you leave you are in normal mode again lol... either way we will have to do something to keep people from purposely or accidently damaging things in the city

What I'd like to see, is a section-offed area for PvP only, and there are stakes and betting. The players fighting can choose to hold stakes, such as each player keeping a diamond block in their inventory, and the winner obviously gets to keep the fallen players diamond block (both players must agree to such stakes).
On the sideline, the people watching the fight, you can place bets on who wins. A mod or admin will be the trusted player to hold the items that have been bet, and will decide accordingly on how to hand these items out to the winning betters (Items that would be bet must be the same item, as not to single someone out with a diamond block, and give someone else coal as a prize.)

Maybe thats too much to ask for, or maybe you can't even section off an area for PvP? But I'd like to see that happen.

Well, we can obviously build some kinda of arena thingy with some cool little obstacles. I'd have a lot of fun building it. I was also thinking of trying to somehow make a room where badies spawn under it... I think it'd be really awesome to have some 2v2 or team battles with like colored sides or something... survival FTW!

Just remember, some people might set their difficulty level to peacefull, which means they'll
have regenerating health :/

SMP only has one difficulty setting and there is no peaceful setting aka no health regen.

Im going to come up with an arena design in single player while the server is down. when it back up ill start building it.

Should i make it big enough for only two people? or a group vs group size?
